Load Bread card for
FREE at the Post Office
BREAD, 4th August 2008
BREAD, the award winning Prepaid Maestro Card can now be loaded for free at Post Office® Branches and via BACS transfer.
This recent fee reduction is in addition to a new FREE SMS balance checking service introduced last month together with a new look website.
Tim Day, BREAD Marketing Director commented, ‘Many of our customers already top up their BREAD Cards with cash at the Post Office and have their wages BACS transferred onto their card. By offering a free service we are demonstrating our commitment to them. We are focused on making the BREAD Card the most competitive and efficient Prepaid card in the UK and these changes have made precisely for this purpose.’
The BREAD Card is a new breed of payment card. Unlike conventional credit cards, which provide you with a line of credit, or debit cards that are linked to a bank account with an overdraft facility, the BREAD Card is a ‘pay-as-you-go’ card that you load with cash or have your wages transferred. When applying for a BREAD Card there are also no credit checks.
